Barnacle Goose - This is a winter visiting goose to the saltmarshes. These photographs were taken at Lissadell and Ballyconnell County Sligo in Ireland where up to 3000 of these birds visit every year. They sound like a field full of yapping puppies! Spectacular sight when they all take flight together. Breeds on the rocky coasts of arctic islands. Some of these photographs also taken in Staffordshire UK.
