Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax
Chough - Ok ... not the best photographs in the world! They need to be included though as my only sightings of this now rare bird on the amber list. That being species with unfavourable conservation status in Europe. These now rare birds are masters of the air with wonderful acrobatic flight displays. They are of the crow family and easily identified by the scarlet red beak and legs. They prefer rocky coastlines. I spotted this one at distance at Aughris Head in County Sligo Ireland. Can't wait to see my next one! The next ones came at Sagres in Portugal. Still not the shots I want! ... One day.
