Emberiza calandra
Corn Bunting - A bird of open country which habitats farmland and wasteland with plenty of weed vegetation. Previously common in Ireland and now very rare, and sadly extinct as a breeding species there. I came across these birds in the Algarve at Sagres peninsular Portugal. A very welcome find for me.
