Sylvia undata

Dartford Warbler - These birds habitat in dense thorny scrubland that contain the likes of gorse bushes in which they prefer to nest. An insect feeder, although I witnessed one of these cute little birds feeding on a huge worm almost longer than itself! You can see this in the banner image above! Ever since my early birding days, this bird was always on the top of my list! Sadly I had never come across one being very rare in Britain and non-existent in Ireland. Very vulnerable to harsh winters. On my trip to the Algarve in Portugal I came across this little beauty at Foia, near Monchique. At last the wait had ended. The quality of the photographs are not too great but herethey stay!
