Prunella modularis

Dunnock - Shy overlooked bird. Always around the bottom of the bird table in gardens but seldom on the table itself. The Dunnock is also referred to as the Hedge Sparrow. But one of the things to look for is the fine, insect-eating bill which immediately separates it from a sparrow. Lovely song to this bird. Images from my garden in Greaghnafarna Co.
