Tadorna tadorna
Shelduck - Colourful Goose-like duck. Resident on British and Irish coasts around dunes and mudflats. It feeds with a sweeping motion with it's beak through the mud. They nest in holes and cliffs. They have even been known to nest in rabbit burrows! These images are from Co. Sligo, Derby UK, the Algarve in Portugal and the S'Albufera region of Majorca in Spain.
