Luscinia megarhynchos

Nightingale - Common nightingales are so named because they frequently sing at night as well as during the day. The song is loud, with an impressive range of whistles, trills and gurgles. They are skulking and extremely local in their distribution in the UK, while in much of southern Europe they are common and more easily seen. I saw this nightingale at Vilamoura Reedbeds in Portugal during May.
