Cyanistes caeruleus

Blue Tit - Only the blue tit has the striking cobalt-blue crown which sets it apart from the rest. Common garden visitor. Will nest in holes inside trees or nestboxes. The clutch consists of 7-12 white eggs with brownish-red markings. Incubation takes 13-15 days, the young fledgling after a further 18-21 days. These images were taken at Greaghnafarna Co.
