Lonchura punctulata

Nutmeg Mannikin - spice finch or scaly-breasted munia. This sparrow sized bird feeds mainly on seed and the rest of the diet is insects and berries. They can form large flocks. They are native to tropical Asia and introduced into Australia and many other countries. It has an extremely large range. I photographed this bird in Bundaberg Queensland Australia.
