Phoenicurus phoenicurus

Redstart - this is the female being a beige brown colour all over apart from the rusty red undertail coverts. The male is much more striking with a beautiful black face and throat and deeper rustic breast and tail. I have yet to photograph the male. They are far too quick for me! I came across this female in Vilamoura in Portugal.
