Larus delawarensis

Ring-billed Gull - named for the black ring around its bill. Adult plumage is silver and grey with yellow legs. The bird in this image is in second year plumage. Strong, nimble flyers and opportunistic feeders. They also forage afloat and on foot. This photograph was taken at Salgados in Portugal.
