Phylloscopus trochilus

Willow Warbler - The Willow warbler is a summer visitor and very often the first to arrive. It habitats open deciduous woodland, bushy areas, parks and gardens. Also in mixed forest and young conifer plantations and hedgerows . On passage occurs in all types of habitat with trees and bushes. Very similar to the Chiffchaff in appearance. One of the main differences between them being the darker legs of the Chiffchaff. Pictures from Counties Leitrim and Cavan.
