Alectoris chukar

Chukar Partidge - In Great Britain, hybrids between this species and the also introduced Red-legged Partridge are common. They differ in colour, where the Chukar has a cream colour neck and lack the gorget (speckled breast) of the red-legged. I came across this bird with chicks for the first time in the Paphos region of Cyprus.
